A frum woman was assaulted in an apparent attempted robbery in Lakewood.
The incident occurred at the 7-11 on River Avenue.
Sources tell TLS a man tried grabbing the woman’s purse and attempted to drag her out of her car parked at the 7-11.
A witness intervened and helped pin the suspect down until police officers arrived on scene and arrested the man.

That place has the shadiest people hanging out there i always lock my doors when sitting in my car. People especially women should train themselves to lock their doors whenever idling in their vehicles!!!
I don’t think it’s a place for a woman to go after dark, there is nothing there over the frum stores. I would never let my daughter go there either, it’s not a place to be at all.

Lakewood has never been a safe town at least not for the past 50 yrs, it was a town full of gangs back in the 70’s and 80’s even today the town is. It safe. Dangerous drivers during the day and shady criminals out at night. Be safe everyone and keep your car doors lock for your own safety.
