FIRST REPORT: More serious charges expected in bias crime incident in Jackson

Some more serious charged are expected in last week’s bias incident, TLS has learned.

The charges stem from an incident where a driver allegedly swerved at Jewish residents, and then cursed at them. The incident was first reported by TLS.

Police initially charged one person with harassment and bias intimation.

Now, sources tell TLS, police are preparing more charges against additional persons involved, and at least one of the previous charges are being upgraded.

The charges are expected to be filed in the coming days.

  1. Shouldn’t the individuals involved be charged with a federal crime? Or attempted murder? Something doesn’t feel right. Even if the charges are upgraded, shouldn’t they be federal?

Please could someone fill me in as to why –
    A. The juvenile isn’t charged with attempted murder.
    B. Why aren’t federal charges levied due to the nature of the crime.

  2. I wouldn’t say everyone is like that but Not something new. Walk on brewers bridge on Shabbos, Yom Tov and you’ll get all beautiful language or noises yelled at you and if your “lucky” throwing pennies.
