It’s not all bad in the Garden State.
A new report by WalletHub has ranked New Jersey as the 5th happiest state in the country.
Using 31 metrics across 3 key dimensions – emotional and physical well-being, work environment, and community and environment – Wallethub determined that New Jersey, the land of the jug-handle and the home of the spray tan, was worthy of the #5 overall spot, with a score of 60.54 out of 100 points.
New Jersey ranked 2nd overall in the emotional and physical well-being category, 24th in the community and environment category, and a pathetic 45th place finish in the work environment category. Put those categories together and the Garden States lands in the top 5.
The state ranked highest in happiness was Hawaii (who wouldn’t be happy living in a tropical paradise?), while West Virginia was ranked last. Must be hard living in nowhere country. The next time you think you have things bad, remember that there are 45 states more unhappy than you are. Comforting, isn’t it?
Lol 🙂
Must be because of all the Shteiging in Lakewood and learning makes us happy go Shteiging
When asked if he believed New Jersey was truly deserving of being ranked the 5th happiest state, one New Jersey resident replied, “I plead the 5th.”
