Revealing Fairways Video Exclusively Obtained by TLS

In this video of a recent community meeting at the Fairways, attorney Ronald Perl of Hill Wallack LLP in Princeton, who is advising the Fairways community, warns them that the impact of recent events can lead to them facing consequences for violating the Fair Housing Act.

Attorney Perl warned Fairways residents that creating a “hostile environment” for other residents due to their religious beliefs – even merely by verbal or written means – is a grave violation of federal housing discrimination laws.

It is clear from the video that his warnings come as a result of the recent incident at the pool of and alleged assault on an Orthodox Jewish resident, reported first here on TLS.

In the video, he explains that neighborhood associations and in turn entire communities are responsible for and need to take proactive steps to protect residents from such hostility, or they could be subject to severe penalties.

TLS has also obtained the minutes from a recent Board meeting of the Fairways Homeowners Association Board (see below) which confirmed the incident and details the board’s decision to hire security at the pool out of concerns for violating the Fair Housing Act.

  1. they are trying to do theirs, we need to always remember to be good polite and respectful neighbors, and by the way our neighbors hate when we walk in the street on shabbos, so do us all a favor and please use the side walks, as we dont own the streets yet.
