  1. Hopefully someone in the neighborhood has outdoor footage so they can finally catch them.
Thieves, If you come back to brookhill please smile at my newly installed cameras.

  2. @hheeelllllooo, maybe the cops just saw people walking up to a front door and entering, and assumed there was nothing suspicious.

The reason it keeps happening is because homeowners are letting the criminals walk in.

When are people going to learn that crime exists and lock their doors at night? It’s scary enough to have your money/ possessions stolen, but can you imagine if they hurt your child?

  3. Hello !! Lock your doors and windows!!
At the same time perhaps a more robust street crimes unit would be a good idea to get these thugs off the streets .

  4. This is so frustrating.
    Week in and week out.
    Same story again and again.

Although I wouldn’t rush to blame our wonderful LPD but we need to consider increasing patrols in the neighborhood or have LCSW marked units there as a deterrent. Maybe that’ll help.

  5. Locking doors only pushes the criminals to the next door and not to yours.
If 100% of doors are locked, criminals will work a bit harder and break in.

So unless the lpd and the scoop would begin publicizing pics of the criminals, but more importantly there would be more of an emphasis on arrests, what deterrent do the criminals have to stop?

    • Most of these types of crimes are not committed by professionals. If it’s easy they will burglarize. If it’s too hard they move on. If 100% of the doors and windows are locked there are not that many who will break in to a regular home. Maybe, just maybe, they would work harder to break into a more wealthy looking home.

  6. Do lock all the doors and windows, Maybe the burglars realized that people in this particular neighborhood give them an invitation just to walk in, It is not a laughing matter but please start locking the doors and windows otherwise unfortunately something more serious might happen CHAS VESHOLEM PLEASE do not borrow trouble, And hopefully next motzei Shabbos we should read here only good news, Gut Woch Lakewood,

  7. The police should partrol these neighborhoods
And it’s not nice to scream at people after they had break ins where’s you’re common sense imagine if it was you

  8. I wouldn’t hurt if the neighborhood forms their own watch group for a couple of weeks. The lcsw has enough on their hands and sometimes you need to do a little more for your own block.

  9. Those suggesting that LPD has to add patrols,LPD already Does a great job patrolling our streets. With that said when burglars are making rounds im sure they find cover & hide when a vehicle turns onto the block until it passes them.Even with heavy police presence its can still very hard to detect these burglars in action. The first step to keeping your house safe & secure is by locking all doors/windows,security cameras, outdoor light motion senors…..
If there was a concept that many home owners are armed with firearms can be a very big deterrent for would be burglars & other criminals
