[COMMUNICATED] 4th grader Yulia Izolada comes from a completely secular home, but thanks to her Shuvu School in Lod, is well on her way towards a life of Shmiras Torah and Mitzvos.
Her family was invited to her uncle’s home for a family get-together on a Shabbos afternoon, and taking advantage of the beautiful weather, decided to spend the morning hours earlier, going on a Tiyul.
Yulia would not hear of it.She decided to go to her uncle’s home before Shabbos, and spend the entire day there.
When her family arrived on Shabbos afternoon, she told them not to eat any of the food served, as she saw it was cooked on Shabbos.
Yulia is desperately trying to keep Shabbos based on what she is taught at Shuvu. She has her hair done every Friday so that she won’t have to touch it over Shabbos.
She also makes a point of letting her cellphone battery drain every Friday, so that she won’t have any Yetzer to turn her phone on during Shabbos!
