A fire ripped through a Lakewood home this afternoon.
The fire broke out on South Lake Drive around 2:30 PM.
Flames could be seen shooting from the home.
At least one nearby home was evacuated.
The roof collapsed at approximately 3 PM.
There are no reports of any injuries at this time.
Dozens of firefighters are battling the blaze, and are using the lake to pump water.
The cause of the fire is not available at this time.
Askonim (community leaders) are working on finding placement for the family.
UPDATE: A source told TLS the fire originated from the dryer.
A 16-year-old family member reportedly rescued all the children from the home.

B”H everyone is ok, great job by the 16 year old.
Some of the commenters above should think before they post.
Perhaps the moderators should censor and remove hurtful and senseless posts.
BH that all are ok. So sad for all the irreplaceable losses (think photos, letters, etc.) and for the trauma and difficulties incurred, especially during the yomim tovim. May H’ compensate their losses and may they be blessed with a year of Bracha and Hatzlacha…..
