The suspect vehicle involved in the fatal Lakewood accident, has been located.
The vehicle was located by Lakewood Police Liutenant LeRoy Marshall in a driveway in Toms River this afternoon. The front of the vehicle, which contained the damage, was facing the home.
The suspect has not yet been located, but police say it’s a matter of time before he’s apprehended.
“Our Traffic Safety unit along with our Detectives have been working the case around the clock this entire weekend,” Police Chief Greg Meyer tells TLS. “We encourage the individual to turn himself in, because it’s only a matter of time,” the Chief said.
A vigil is planned for this evening for the Lakewood High School teen who was killed.
Great job, LPD and TRPD.
Any details how they found it? Cameras? Tips? Police patrols?
I wish they were also interested in finding the animal who slashed 250 tires on albert Avenue and Pine Street.
Why do you need to know the fine details?
@josh you can’t compare a human life to slashed tires. At least your tires can be replaced, his life is not… rip to the young man who lost his life
And what would have happened if the criminal with a dagger came across another person while perpetuating his crime with said dagger?
I only said I wish they were ALSO interested in finding the animal Who slashed 250 tires. I am not comparing it in any way shape or form to a human life. My point is if they are interested in finding somebody they find him!
@Josh you have no point. There is no comparison , A young life was tragically taken . you compare that to tires being slashed,
People have become so selfish. all about me me me .
My prayers with this poor family at their time of need ,
he just explained to you that he was NOT comparing them! to wish that police will apprehend slasher of 250 tires makes one selfish?????
Very stupid to run from accident, end up sitting in jail, when in this case he probably would have gotten off, he hit 2 pedestrians who were in the road on a dark street at night. Unless he was drunk or high, he had no reason to run
maybe he was drunk or high! or maybe he was already wanted for some other infraction!
