After many of Sukkahs around Lakewood were destroyed during the windy storm, a group chat was set up to connect homeowners with volunteers looking to help those affected.

The group quickly filled up with approximately 200 members, and volunteers immediately jumped to help.

Working throughout the night and up until Shabbos, volunteers went from home to home to help complete strangers rebuild their Sukkahs.

They all shared just one thing in common: They were all members of Klal Yisroel.

  1. Beautiful! My succa – which we thought was rock solid – was bent and almost fell due to the winds. Only with the help of others were we able to reinforce it. THANK YOU!
