  1. I started my Neila talk mentioning how difficult this year has been. I cited the loss of Rabbi Gissinger as a blow that I can’t yet come to grips with. He was so pure and dedicated that I was devastated by our loss of him. May Hashem grant him a speedy aliyah.

  2. I only had a few brief interactions with him, but as we spoke, it was like speaking to an old friend, as if I were the only one in his world.
