[COMMUNICATED] Why is the Block Campaign so important right before Yom Kippur?As we all do all year round, when we daven on Yom Kipper we don’t daven in the singular form, we daven in the plural form. We don’t ask Hashem “Please grant me a good year,” but rather “Please grant US a good year.”

Chazal understood that Hashem wants tefilos from us, not from me. In order for those tefilos to be sincere, we need to really care about one another. We need to unite and connect with our neighbors before Yom Kippur.

This is what the Block Campaign is all about. We join together as a block to help others in our community make Yom Tov.
