The Lakewood High School today held Homecoming festivities, with a special helicopter flyover – with the Homecoming King Erik Varela and Homecoming Queen Angel Fontanez in the helicopter.
The helicopter was arranged by Simcha Shain of ParaFlight EMS, Platinum Helicopters and General Counsel Michael I. Inzelbuch – at no cost to the District.
This flew on shabbos??
Yes !
The amount of Chessed Simcha Shain does for the citizens of this Twsp is not to be believed. He is just a non-stop Do Good Machine. And what Michael does for students of the district is, also, beyond belief. Gr8 job, guys. I’m proud to be ur friend. Both of yous.
What a nice thing to do for the township
Congratulations Erik and Angel!
Pls explain what this is about. King and queen?
Homecoming is an old football tradition wherein alumni of a school come to an advertised football game to rekindle friendship and celebrate tradition. The school students elect a “King” and “Queen” who are driven around the stadium, sometimes with their “Court”. Thank you to Honda Universe for supplying the cars used to drive the student King, Queen and Court around the field.
