This Shabbos, November 16, the Lakewood Township Public Works will be focusing the leaf pick up in the Forest Avenue area.
Please have all cars and other such vehicles as far from the piles as you can manage. The focused pickup area will be in a square that starts from 5th and Forest Ave and goes up to 9th and Forest Ave. It will extend from 5th and Forest Ave to the corner of N Lake Dr and Lakewood Ave and from 9th and Forest Ave to Lakewood Ave.
This pick up will be prioritizing leaf removal, not brush. Brush are the branches, these will not be picked up at this time. Please keep you leaf pile separate from other piles. Make sure only leaves are in the pile and no trash and/or other such debris makes its way there.
The Northern Ocean County Recycling Center dictates the rules and regulations of what is and is not accepted. Due to the fact that we use this facility to unload, the Township must adhere to and abide by their rules.
Besides for making sure that only loose leaves are in the pile(s), please ensure that your children are not playing in the piles that are put to the curb for pick up. With your help and cooperation we hope for this to be a smooth and safe operation.
