  1. True story.

I drive a lot, and about 2 years ago, I fell asleep and went straight into a brick wall on the highway. My car was totaled, BUT B”H I WALKED OUT WITHOUT A SCRATCH!!!

So I was thinking what can I do to keep me up when I am tired and driving.

I found that if I BLOW SHOFER while I am driving, it just wakes me up, and I have no problem after that.

And then I understood the meaning of the words URU YESHANEM MSHNASCHEM!!!!

So I always make sure to have a SHOFER in my car to blow

  2. commuting to the city everyday can be extremely tiring. I find myself sometimes even having to pull off at The Mammoth rest area which is only a couple miles from where I live to close my eyes for 10-15 minutes. Even that small stretch home I find a not manageable

  3. Dear pillow in drum set,

I found a better way to stay up while driving. I eat hand shmurah matzoh from Satmer bakery and I never fall asleep. I’ve tried various matzohs, Shatzer, Pupa tzeilim, KAJ, Lakewood, Horowitz Margareten, but Satmer is the only matzah which keeps me awake. TRY IT!!!!

  4. I experience the best way to staid A WEAK WILL DRIVING IS TO EAT SUNFLOWER SEED ( GARHININ). (in shell salty) .
driving from LA for 14hours A day with a truck that can’t go faster than 65mph ,after 2 or3 hours of driving in the morning (slept at 10,up at 6)
nothing could keep me awake, even banging hard the of my hand on the metal bean ……………

UNTIL A BOUGHT SOME SUNFLOWER SEEDS IN TEXAS,

    I COULDN’T BELIEVE IT ..
on the next gas station I bought a whole stock of it…

I drove safe and AWAKE THE 14 HOURS DRIVE WITHOUT A SLEEP B’H……………………………………

TRY IT WORK IT ON OTHER PEOPLE……….
I always have 1 pond of it in my card.

best result the sunflower, not the pumpkin seed…

    HATZLAHA TO ALL…….

  5. I’m not sure why everyone here is talking about the vest tactic to stay up. I hope peope take away from this to NOT DRIVE WHEN FEELING TIRED. At the slightest onset of tiredness, PULL OVER to the side of the road (obviously if there’s lots of space to make it safe to do so) or go to a gas station and SLEEP. For as long as you need to in order to make the rest of the drive safe. Pulling over may be annoying, but I think you’d regret trying the “best tactic” if chas vshalom it doesn’t work.
