A pedestrian was struck and critically injured in Lakewood this evening.
The accident occurred at the intersection of 6th Street and Madison Avenue just before 6:30.
Hatzolah medics found the injured party in traumatic arrest and transported her to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in critical condition.

The road is expected to be shut for some time for the investigation.

It’s a blend of everything – driving safely, wearing a reflector, crossing safely, All need to be on alert.
In recent years, the twp has ordered 1,000 new streetlight from JCP&L. Many have been put up already.

They need to build an Overpass pedestrian or underground pedestrian in main roads of Lakewood are because volume of crossers.
