Letter: Jackson GOP President Offered to Play Satanic Music to Scare Jewish Kids Out of Public Parks

By Tobiah Wechsler. Anti-Jewish sentiment is rampant within the political power structure of the Jackson Regular Republican Club. Last week, chairwoman Clara Glory was outed as a closet anti-semite after posts were found on Facebook of her defending a position that all Jews are crooks.

The Republican party in Jackson is tainted by hate from top to bottom as evidenced by numerous resignations over anti-semitic comments and participation in anti-semitic activities.

Jackson is home to one of the area’s most beautiful parks, the Jackson Justice Complex, named for one of America’s core principles of “Liberty and Justice for All”, except Jackson GOP Club President Todd Porter doesn’t see it that way.

The town built a spray park for children with the use of a community development block grant funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through a federal grant.

The park is enjoyed by children of all faiths who come together and play as one on hot summer days. It was built by the township as a means to allow an outlet for disadvantaged children who may not have access to their own private swimming pool to cool off and play on hot summer days.

Except some people don’t want Jewish kids here, often referred to as “Out of Towners” by the local population to mask their anti-semitism. On Facebook, residents expressed their anger over young Jewish children playing in the park. Under federal law, towns may not block “out of towners” from any park space paid for by federal tax dollars.

When Jewish families began using the spray park on Sundays, Jennifer Cussaneli, an anti-Jewish organizer in the town called for non-Jewish residents of the town to use their parks “as much as possible” on Sundays to block Jewish families from using the parks.

“These areas will be destroyed and our tax dollars will be paying to clean up the disaster, not to mention our children won’t be able to use the areas yourself,” she said in her call to keep the Jewish community out of township parks.

While the conversation was just about the spray park before Cusanelli’s call to prohibit Jews from all parks, it then expanded to include all parks.

“For a fee, I will head to random parks and blast thrash metal during daylight hours,” GOP President Todd Porter said. “I’m sure slayer will keep the out of towners away.”

Slayer is a 1980’s thrash-metal band with deep roots in Satanism, with a large cult following of middle-aged men. The band’s logo is even a Satanic pentagram. According to Wikipedia, “The band’s lyrics and album art, which cover topics such as murder, serial killers, torture, genocide, human experimentation, Satanism, hate crimes, terrorism, religion, antireligion, Nazism, racism, war and prison, have generated album bans, delays, lawsuits and criticism from religious groups and factions of the general public.”

One of Slayer’s most notable songs is entitled “Angel of Death” and is a tribute to horrific acts of Nazi Doctor Josef Mengele. Mengele is responsible for the deaths of millions of Jews during the holocaust and he developed and perfected methods to exterminate Jews during Hitler’s reign of terror. Mengele also conducted inhumane experiments on Jews, even children.

“Auschwitz, the meaning of pain, the way that I want you to die,” the song begins. “Slow death, immense decay. Showers that cleanse you of your life.”

Before its release, the band was dropped from their deal with Columbia Records because the band refused to remove it from their upcoming album. Many shareholders with the record company were Jewish and would not back the band any further.

It is frightful that a man who feels that religious children playing in township parks should be threatened by loud anti-semitic, nazi-themed music holds such an influential and powerful position in a town like Jackson here in the twenty-first century.

  1. let’s all move to jackson. best revenge possible. How about we send him an x-mas present of xmas songs that preach peace on earth and good will towards men. hipocryt of highest order.

  2. I am sure the non Jewish residents using the park do not want loud satanic music playing there while their children are enjoying the park. This guy wants to ruin it for everyone.

  3. Imagine if the comment would’ve been about scaring away African American children with white power music. Does anyone think this guy would’ve ever dared say such a thing? Would it have been tolerated? Would he still be employed by the GOP?

    THIS IS NO DIFFERENT!

The level of rhetoric against Jews in this part of the state is only possible through the silence of the masses. It’s time for everyone to speak up. It’s time to put a stop to this Neo Nazi-White supremacist style harassment of the Jewish community.

  4. Bigger question is, where is the state GOP higher ups taking action. Chances are that the majority of the families he’s trying to scare away vote Republican.
Where is the leadership coming out with at least a condemnation of these comments? This is unacceptable on any level for any party or regarding any group.

  5. Please don’t portray this lunatic has being part of the Republican Party even if that’s what the story claimed.

He’s far from being a Republican. Truth be told he sounds like a hate-filled democrat!

  6. That post was a few years ago and jewish kids still use the parks.. they aren’t destroyed yet. Unlike mr. porter’s career. He is also on the Jackson MUA. WHAT is going on in that town?? He is not a true republican!!!!

Glory and Porter need to go ! Every one has been saying it 4 a long time!

  7. The song Angel of Death is not praising Mengele. It’s outing him as a butcher. The leader of Slayer is a good Catholic who is not and has never been a Satanist. My point is that this woman, apart from being an anti Semite, is an idiot.
