The New Jersey Legislature has passed a bill which would ban the sale of flavored vaping products in the state.
Advocates of the bill say that flavored vaping products get kids hooked with their fruity flavors, creating a new generation of underage nicotine addicts.
Instead, they argue, vapes should be solely used to help current smokers kick the habit by transitioning to vapes and ultimately, to nothing at all.
But the owners of small vape shops around New Jersey are furious, saying that the new law will put them out of business by destroying their customer base. Many adults vape rather than smoke because it is safer as well as better tasting.
Governor Phil Murphy now has until January 21st to sign or veto the bill.
Murphy, sign it.
Quick.
How many people need to get sick
Great, so now people like me that are down to zero cigarettes a day thanks to vaping, will lose out! Well done liberals.
As a mother of a young son vaping, please sign it.
Mindy, where does your young son get the money to pay for vaping? It is not the governments job to raise your kids.
FYI tobacco is not banned and they are working on legalizing weed, so if you are relying on government bans to raise your child, you have bigger issues than vaping
great job Marlboro, didn’t think you would pull it off this fast.
