At around 8:30 this evening, the Lakewood Fire Department responded to a commercial building on County Line Road for a fire alarm.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a heavy smoke condition inside the structure, but no flames were visible, a fire chief told TLS.
Through investigation they found that the source of the smoke was a malfunctioning air conditioning unit.
Several vehicles, including a ladder truck, were called in to help first responders ensure that there was no further danger to the building.
The incident was resolved without any damage done to the building and no injuries have been reported.
