For weeks now, schools and businesses in the Vassar Avenue area have been sitting in traffic daily – thanks to some wild turkeys.

Yes this is very real. I started this route about 7 weeks ago in the early morning hours and almost daily those turkeys are either causing minor to major traffic congestion and havoc. At first it was so to say fun but daily!?!
Animal control could handle this easily.
Thank you tls for bringing out this turkey issue intoto the public. It’s a grave(y) situation.
The Turkeys are probably searching for water to drink. But someone needs to tell them there’s no vassar (water) on Vassar Avenue, and that it’s just a name.
I can’t understand how the turkeys are smart enough to read the street sign, and yet too dumb to understand that it’s just the name of the street!?
know what you call this? get a shochet and let’s call it lunch
Somebody get the police to round up these turkeys and lock em in some camp or something. We can make em do work and if there ends up being too many we can just kill em. Wunderbar!
By the way, the street name rhymes with “has her” after Vassar College, not “vosser” after naigel vosser.
