BREAKING: Police Arrest Suspect Who Sprayed Swastika On Jewish Business; Second suspect still wanted

As first reported on TLS, Jackson police officers responded last Thursday to a Jewish-owned business located on Progress Place on the report of a anti-Semitic graffiti that had been located on the property.

Investigating officers observed the phrase “white power” spray painted on the side of a trailer which faced a wooded area away from the business and a swastika and other markings painted on the interior of a fence surrounding a dumpster at the property.

As the investigation progressed, the business owner reviewed security video and observed a recording from the previous weekend which showed a vehicle entering the property during the evening hours while the business was closed and subjects getting out of the car to go into garbage dumpsters on the property, specifically in the area of the dumpster and trailer where the graffiti was located. Detectives continued the investigation and were able to identify the female driver of the vehicle.

On Thursday February 20, 2020 detectives went to the female’s Jackson residence and placed her under arrest for the incident. During this time, observations were made of spray painted markings at the residence similar to those that were observed at the business in a similar paint color and paint splatter on the vehicle used that was similar colored paint which was used in the incident. The vehicle used was impounded pending potential forfeiture proceedings.

Arrested:

Virginia Mailloux, age 40 of Jackson. She was processed and charged with criminal mischief, trespassing and bias intimidation. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

Detectives are still seeking to identify a second person observed in the video who was not clearly shown on the video. Anyone with any information on this incident is asked to contact the Jackson Police Department at 732-928-1111.

    Wow, JPD absolutely killing it.
I also have a suggestion: Ask Virginia who the other guy was. I’m sure she’ll be glad to tell you.

As a Jackson resident who deals with the Orthodox community in Lakewood on a daily basis I am very glad that the perpetrator has been arrested. I am extremely embarrassed that fellow residents of my town act this way. I cannot fathom the hate one must feel to do something like this. It saddens me to the core and on behalf of the non-haters in town, I apologize for the low percentage of scum that live among us.

  • Mike says:

Kudos to Jackson PD for a job well done.
Should be a lesson to all. Hate wont be tolerated. The law will catch up with you. Be guided accordingly.
