Hello All, As you may be aware, applications for the Federal Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) open today and close on March 27th, 2020 at 5:00 PM.
Currently, there are two separate grants available for New Jersey mosdos: the State NSGP (NJ-NSGP) and the Federal NSGP. The Federal Grant awards institutions up to $100,000 for target hardening and security personnel. The State Grant contains two separate grant opportunities. One (NJ NSGP-THE) awards institutions up to $50,000 for target hardening equipment and the other (NJ NSGP-SP) awards up to $10,000 to hire security personnel during high risk seasons. (While an institution can only receive one State grant per year, they may apply for both annually.)
Both the State and Federal grants have been increased substantially this year to allow more nonprofits to receive funding.
The State of NJ Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness is holding several workshops in the upcoming weeks to assist institutions with their applications. Although only the Federal Grant is accepting applications currently, the workshop will present on both the Federal and State grants.
The workshops will take place on:

Due to the limited space and anticipated amount of participants, preregistration is required. Registration does not guarantee admittance though, so if you would like to go, early registration is encouraged.
In preparation for the workshop, you may want to review your Investment Justification (IJ) and Vulnerability Risk Assessment (VRA). In addition, any applying institution should have a copy of a 501(c)(3) letter from the IRS.
