  1. My husband took my son out for ice cream after he took his 4 farhers for Mesivta, even though we did not get any answers, because we were so proud of how much time and effort our son put in. The chazarah for weeks before and going to each farher and doing his best.
I am really thinking about how to apply this in all aspects of my childrens’ lives.

    Thank you.

  2. What amazed me most about these clips is how R Yisroel Wahl has such a deep and vast understanding of children and their needs. Instead of fitting children into a model, he sees the entire child, home, school, and complete environment and works with all that in mind. His clients are lucky to have him because this is something unique. Please keep on posting these.

  3. R’ Wahl’s videos have been so helpful, and most important : advises given are applicable!!! Thank you, please keep posting them!!!

For this video i have a few questions (never had any before): how do you measure efforts? How do you really know if your child is trying and not just looking for ” hours” at the same page without eye movement..?! If efforts are not followed by a minimum of results then how can i call it effort? What is an effort?

How can i help my child make an effort, how can i help her/ teach/guide her to make an effort – and then give her the taste of effort appreciation for her to continue making effort (without treats plse.. true appreciation for the action itself per se!).

People like me, from the older generation, had no choice but to make efforts.. in today’s society.. you get rewarded for no effort (where do you see that loosers have a price too?!what’s the motivation?) so it makes it very hard to inculcate the taste for effort in our children..

And then once we get there, how to consider making an effort normal(since they’re an essential and must part of our everyday life). How can it become a routine?

I found with some of my children that giving too much compliments (and detailed/specific) make them flight and they think they above everything (so dont need to try again/make any effort) while they are really doing what they are supposed to be doing ….

    Thanks in advance!!!!
