In response to the threat of a lawsuit yesterday by Michael Inzelbuch, a vendor has announced it was backing down and would ensure all employees are fully paid.
Here’s the letter:
Dear Mr. Inzelbuch
Thank you for speaking with me today regarding the plan for distance learning with the nonpublic school students receiving services such as 192/193 Services and Title I services. Notwithstanding the uncertain environment in which we are proceeding, with school closures and the potential for gaps in service and contract administration, please allow this email to confirm that (moderated) will pay its teaching staff their salaries through April 3, 2020. Of course, (moderated) has always paid its teachers to provide services for which it was reimbursed.
Following April 3, consistent with what (moderated) has done in the past, it will pay its teaching staff during the 2-week holiday break, ending on April 17, 2020.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you Mr. Inzelbuch for ensuring all Lakewood students are getting the services they need and taking the voice of the teachers seriously!
Thank you Mr. Inzelbuch for taking your time to support us and the children of Lakewood during this difficult period.
