Research Study on Jewish Community Responses to COVID-19 | Tzvi Pirutinsky, Ph.D.

Dear Editor,

As a local psychologist and active researcher in the area of Jewish mental health, I am collecting data on the frum communities experience
with and response to COVID-19.

The aims of the research are to 1) Provide data counteracting claims the OJs are not adhering to emergency orders and medical guidelines. 2) Describe the impact of COVID-19 on OJ communities so as to increase awareness of their needs for future funding opportunities and public relations purposes. 3) Study the coping methods used to provide data-based recommendations for managing this situation. The study is approved by Touro’s Human Subjects Review board, includes no controversial questions to my knowledge, and has already garnered a strong response (1k+).  Input from local Lakewood residents would be greatly appreciate. The formal invitation is posted below.

INVITE: How are you responding to COVID-19? Touro College is recruiting adult Jewish individuals to participate in a research study by completing a brief (20-25 minute) web-based survey.
