  1. Lakewood should announce NOW that public schools will not reopen this year.

Every single Rosh Yeshiva, every single machanich, every single rebbe that has passed away is either a teacher or principal.
How many in Lakewood have died?

Rabbi Jacobs (mashgiach katan in BMG), Rabbi Berg (my co-teacher in Kaminetz), Rabbi Rabinowitz (my former principal in Yeshiva Katana), Rabbi Fendel (my chavrusa in BMG). There are others whom I did not personally know.

And what about the doctors? Dr. Feldman, Dr. Sokol, Dr. Hirsch.

Lakewood is DIFFERENT than the rest of the county and state.

It is not the kids at risk. It is the teachers, principals, parents and grandparents.

  2. Interestingly I posed those questions to a board of Ed member and I am glad to see you’ve been hitting the target points.
The parents need cellphones or tech devices to enable the students to lear remotely. This money is one of the choices for the allocation. How can we expedite this as it’s already been 20 days of remote learning?

The other questions were food related and you scored those for us as well.

    Thank you.

    A grateful parent

  3. It is not normal that the public schools are getting I Pads, Chrome books etc. which are so expensive in order for them to continue their schooling, while Jewish students are getting NOTHING!!!! Parents are spending a fortune on cellphones (plus service) _Some parents have had to buy as much as 6 cellphones!! just so their kids can keep up with lessons, conferences etc. Eventhough cell phones are so much cheaper!! Jewish students have to pay everything out of pocket!! This is just not normal and not right!!

    • It’s not “Jewish students,” it’s private school students. The fact is that we don’t send to the public schools and so we don’t get the same services. My kids’ school offered to take $100 per kid off the tuition bill to pay for cell phones. Maybe ask your school to do the same.

  4. My friend works in Schi – the teachers and assistants etc have to teach the kids on Skype…Why do they not receive I Pads and Chrome books|???
