Lakewood 2020 Night Out Against Crime, Independence Day Fireworks events cancelled

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the Lakewood Police Department is cancelling this year’s Night Out event – usually held on the first Tuesday of August.

The Township also announced today the cancellation of the Independence Day fireworks event.

“Even though the fireworks are cancelled, residents are encouraged to display their pride amd patriotism and display their American flags during the Independence Day Holiday, July 3-5, 2020,” said Mayor Ray Coles

Chief Greg Meyer stated, “We hope all are well and continue to stay safe. We look forward to 2021 for an even bigger and better event.”
