The Lakewood Police Department is aware of the threats made online directed towards civilians around the US in response to the death of George Floyd.
There are also reports of a group planning a peaceful protest in Lakewood.
“There are no known threats to Lakewood, and we are aware of the social media chatter,” Police Chief Greg Meyer told TLS. “We will continue to monitor the situation and do whatever it takes to keep our town safe.”
Chief Meyer is also asking residents to direct any concerns to Lieutenant LeRoy Marshall.

I cannot agree though to “no justice. No peace”. No peace for whom?
And yes, Black lives do matter. But the BLM has unfortunately been co-opted by thugs and crooks.
Lakewood is a very high-IQ town. Trump won Lakewood in 2016 by over fifty points (74% to 24%). He’ll win by an even bigger margin in 2020, because no Trump voters from 2016 are disappointed, and many Trump skeptics (including myself, as a Libertarian Party voter) were very pleasantly surprised by many of his actions.
So I’m pretty sure that Lakewood doesn’t “stand with” communist terrorists using a terrible accident as an excuse to burn everything in sight. We’ve had enough pogroms, thank you very much. Intelligent people don’t jump to conclusions without knowing all the facts.

Sometimes people on drugs have heart attacks, strokes, and seizures from the added stress of being arrested. The traditional “compliance pressure point” technique the police use to get submission may have been misused, but we have to wait for the investigation to find out.

We don’t know what happened – we’ll find out at the trial. But we do know the coroner’s report states that asphyxiation was NOT the cause of death, and it doesn’t mention external injuries. Furthermore, the four cops were obviously aware of being video-recorded with many witnesses – not the best time to commit “murder”.
The videos that were released to the public only cover a fraction of the events. Was Floyd resisting arrest and refusing to get into the police vehicle? Was he having a drug-induced seizure? Was the officer trained to use a “gaining compliance with targeted pressure point technique” (which were once used but are no longer considered safe, in which case his superiors are partially to blame)?

The cop and the victim knew each other for 17 years. As of now, no one knows what truly caused his death. The prolonged knee on the neck was to convince people that the cop killed Floyd. His wife couldn’t get away from this violent man. At the end of the story, Faupin will have an Epstein suicide in jail, a death-sentenced prison lookalike will be in the coffin at Floyd’s funeral or a cremation vessel with tree ashes, Chaupin and Floyd will get millions and new identities somewhere far away. The Floyd family will be awarded millions in damages, which will never assuage the pain of the family’s loss. Black lives matter! I’m embarrassed by some of the ignorant comments from my fellow Jews. We know that racism is prevalent in our community just like in many others. The police cannot get away with killing a man on the street like that!
All lives matter!!!!! There was nothing to suggest that it was specifically done to George Floyd because he was African American. The cop should get what’s coming to him but regardless of the color of skin of the victim.
