UPDATE: After 2,000 tests were quickly reserved, Bikur Cholim has secured an additional 1,000 slots – based on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Bikur Cholim has partnered with the Mayo Clinic and NIH in order to perform antibody testing which will allow researchers to further understand the COVID-19 immune response and consequently steer toward a cure.
How does it work?
- You will need to complete a 20 question survey.
- You will then receive an appointment slot to have 2 tubes of blood drawn on Sunday May 17.
- One specimen will be sent to the Mayo Clinic to test for your antibodies. You will receive the result of this test.
- The other specimen will be submitted to the NIH to be used for extensive research and study in facilitating this historic development. You will not receive these results.

Unlike the Convalescent Plasma Donation Drive – concerns such as pregnancy, medical conditions, prolonged symptoms, or those who were asymptomatic, in this case, are not determining factors.
In fact, a large variety in donors’ COVID experience will only assist the NIH in concluding the clearest and most informative results.
**If you have participated in a previous drive and came back ineligible (negative) as a plasma donor – you can take part in this.

As soon as you hit the link it says “thank you for your interest, but you are not a participant”. It does not even bring up a survey.

Will the antibodies results tell you if you have enough antibodies to be possibly immune as other viruses?
It does not let me complete the registration. It keeps on saying there are errors on the form when it’s filled out perfectly.
