A bird stuck in fishing wire in a tree at Lake Carasaljo was freed by emergency personnel.
The bird was spotted flapping its wings trying to free itself from the wire about fifteen feet up, near the boardwalk.
Chaveirim responded and managed to cut the branch down containing the bird, and then cut it loose.
The bird was set free and flew off – apparently uninjured.
They saved a seagull? A rat with wings?
Wow. These guys will do anything to help any creature.
And,btw, the burden is not harmed physically but for a bird of flight to be unable to fly for that long can cause alot of trauma to the bird. That bird is gonna need some extensive bird therapy for a while now. And, if not treated right away, may result in terrible cases if acting out down the road.
