BREAKING: Lakewood Reports Zero New Covid-19 Cases; First Time Since Testing Began

For the first time since Lakewood residents began receiving tests for Covid-19 infection, the Ocean County Health Department has received zero reports of new cases in the township of 100,000.

Lakewood and many surrounding towns in Ocean County have been slowly returning to normal – within certain limitations – as new coronavirus cases continue trending downward.

While the data will likely show new cases cropping up in the future, the overall rates of new infections in Ocean County have been on an unmistakable downward trajectory.

Additionally, in another piece of good news, Lakewood has not reported a new coronavirus-related death since Wednesday, the longest sustained stretch since the first reported Covid-19 related death in early April.

  1. Bh how many places in the world are totally open like ours and not seeing any cases. Why is lakewood not a study worldwide? The reason is obviously because we all got it, so doesnt that prove that there is immunity. And also that proves herd immunity, unless every single person got it which is not mistaber.

  2. What it proves is that somebody has been lying about it for months as we heard there hasn’t been any new cases in months! Just like that wasn’t true maybe this isn’t either.

  3. that is good news, however, it does not mean everyone got it. Many of us baruch H-shem did not and are still afraid of it. And there are still new cases just not tested. People still travel all the time and are bringing it here even now…

  4. Does anyone know if there has been more research regarding how long antibodies stays in the blood? Rumors have it that it wears off after three months.

    • “Rumor” is obviously false since most of us got it in March – we would have begun seeing a resurgence. (3 months doesn’t mean exactly 90 days for everyone)
