An early-morning fire today left a Lakewood home damaged, and the family displaced.

The fire broke at in the attic of a Kew Gardens neighborhood home at approximately 5:25 AM.

Upon arrival, fire crews turned out in general alarm, requesting additional personnel to the scene. The fire was brought under control a short time later, but due to the damage, family was displaced.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshall’s office
