PHOTO: Jersey Shore University Medical Center Team Members and Physicians Kneel in Silent Reflection

Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical Center held a moment of silent reflection on Friday.

At 1 p.m., more than 100 team members and physicians came together outside the main entrance of the academic medical center and observed a moment of silence while taking a knee.

Annamarie Cutroneo, MHA, CPXP, vice president of operations, Jersey Shore University Medical Center led the participants in the ceremony.

“Several recent events have been painful reminders to all Americans of inequalities in our nation,” said Annamarie. “Hackensack Meridian Health and Jersey Shore University Medical Center condemns all forms of racism, hate, and violence. We kneel and hold this moment of silence for our patients, team members, families, and our community. We are committed to improving the health and safety of people of color.”
