Why Does Jackson Still Employ David Visconi? | G. Sonnenfeld

We live in times of upheaval. Across the country, towns and cities, small and large, are taking a good look at themselves and asking whether they are doing what’s right. Are they treating their minorities the way they should? Are there changes that need to be made?

Jackson Township currently employs multiple Code Enforcement officers who are meant to ensure that residents are following the township’s regulations and have broad authority to issue fines to those that are not. In a sensible world, these officers would be impartial to all of the Township’s citizens. But they are not.

There is a Code Enforcement Officer employed by Jackson by the name of David Visconi. Mr. Visconi is openly bigoted toward Orthodox Jewish people, as evidenced by multiple anti-Semitic posts he wrote on Facebook.

Take a look at the screenshots of his posts and ask yourself ‘if he said things like this about any other minority group, would he still be employed by Jackson Township?’

Mr. Visconi’s comments were made on a Facebook page called ‘Take Back Jackson, NJ’ which was public for years, but then went private after the group was named in the recent DOJ lawsuit against Jackson Township. TLS has confirmed that the posts are still live on the now-private page.

Jackson Township already has a lot to answer for. They’re embroiled in numerous lawsuits alleging discriminatory actions taken against Orthodox Jewish people, and are even being sued by the Justice Department over their blatant anti-Semitism.

During all this time, Jackson officials have said that they really have the best interests of the Jewish community at heart. If so, why do they still employ a bigoted man like Visconi?

If they wanted to make things better, perhaps they should first clear out the racist rabblerousers on their payroll.

  1. How many minorities actually live in Jackson? Maybe it’s time for a protest by certain groups. Not us, though, we’ll do it the old fashioned way. Federal Court. David Visconi. Translate his name in Italian: “I live (but) they?”. I call him “shadrool”. In Italian that means “cucumber”. Trust me, it’s not a compliment. Ciao, Fishchowder. (Visconi in Italian). Swamp creature.

  2. His comments are not the nicest comments but he seems to be joking around rather than actually spitting out blatent anti-semitic remarks. I actually dont have a problem with anything that he wrote aside from the run over by a bus thing but that was clearly not a threat or wish, I would call it distasteful humor. Not everyone that makes a sarcastic comment about jews is a anti-semitic rabble rouser hater. Let’s put things in perspective here and not make a mountain out of a molehill.

  3. If these comments were directed to an African-american population, he would have been fired, period! Let’s not fool ourselves. Double standards when it comes to remarks referencing the LW (hasidic, jewish) population

    • This is true, but only because of racist-fobia. Nobody loves the jews, some respect us, others may like us, others dislike us and others hate us.

  4. Comments about hassidics breeding like rabbits, not paying taxes, wishing they get run over are most definitely defined as “anti-Semitic”.

  5. This is nothing, you should hear Reina and the others in private…This is what they want working for the town this is the people are voting for Team Reina in the election. Why is everyone so shocked that somebody who works for jackson tTownship is an anti-semite
