  1. 1 trooper gave out 6 tickets in under half hour on park/monmouth. There are 6 troopers parked in empty lot across 2nd st fire station….

  2. For sure July 4th weekend with all the high traffic and drunk drivers, Lakewood definitely seems to be a good spot for all the state police…

Why are they here and not in Seaside? Asbury ? Wonderful spot for all the state resources.

  3. It seems like they sure have their priorities in line…what about all the protesters shooting off fireworks? can’t they send some officers after them?

  4. If the residents of Lakewood knew how to drive, and not make there own traffic laws up. I’m sure they would conduct their business elsewhere.

    • Askan4trouble. It fits you to a T. As a former Police Officer I find your comment deeply disturbing, even if you think it’s funny. It’s not. Look around you once in a while. I’d love you to say that to a cop’s face, but you’re a coward who hides behind his idiotic comments. Prove me wrong.

      • Thank you for your comment.
I have a funny feeling that askantroublemaker is a young teenager who has no clue what it would look like to live in a city or a state without a police force. I am sure that every single person after a hammer attack will come crying “Please fund the Police ASAP”.

  5. I will not comment on askanfortrouble’s remark. I am highly confident that the majority of Lakewood residents have common-sense and understand and appreciate the realities of today and can act and think accordingly.

I do agree with both Defend the Police’s comment as well as Anonymous’s comment. Anything that can add to peace of mind and to the safety of our community, especially all our children’s is basic common sense.

    As always, may common-sense prevail.

  6. Look up Wikepedia what the primary job of the state police is for. Mostly for state Highways and securing the State Capitol complex etc. They are also meant to support police in complex multi jurisdictional cases etc.. I believe rolling into a town giving out seatbelt tickets and EPA expired inspection tickets is a complete misuse of their creation. They are here to serve the citizens of NJ and give us an additional layer of protection that our local law enforcement are not able to do. My suggestion to defund the state police was extremely radical and I was just trying to Highlight Mayor Deblasio ludicrous defunding of his police Department… I am not calling for such measures But there is some issues I believe with what exactly the NJ State Police are doing in NJ. And by the way I’m not a teen and Deblasio who actually is defunding the NY police Department is an adult I believe…
