Last night’s accident involving a Lakewood police officer and a drunk driver was caught on surveillance video.
The video, provided exclusively to TLS by Retired Auto, shows the drunk driver blow the stop sign approaching Route 88, and enter the intersection into oncoming traffic.
The officer suffered minor injuries, and the other driver – who was not injured – was taken into custody at the scene.

If we would defund the police, the cop car would not have been there to get hit.
I know you’re joking with your comment. But for those that think you’re not. If it wouldn’t have been a cop car it would’ve been a civilian. Maybe even you in that car and then because there would be no police there would be no one to come help you. What’s going on today is insane. They should be adding and hiring more police officers. They are the good people out there giving of their time to do what’s best for people. Are there bad apples in every bunch? Of course. But to defund the police is wrong. Perhaps the people whose horrible, inexcusable actions require us to hire more police officers should be the ones defunded!!!!
