During yesterday’s Lakewood Board of Education meeting, Michael and Michelle Inzelbuch and family presented a check in the amount of $3600.00 (from their personal funds) to the man who provided information which led to the arrest of the suspect in the fatal hit and run accident which killed student Jesus Grande Lopez.
Jesus was walking home from work on Oak Street after attending a full day of school, when he and his dad were struck by a vehicle.
At the time, the Inzelbuch family in coordination with the Lakewood Police offered a reward of $3600 for any information that would lead to the conviction and arrest of the driver.
As a result, “Tommy” provided information to Lt. Leroy Marshall of the Lakewood Police that led to the capture of the suspect.
Attorney Inzelbuch says as a result of providing the information to police, Tommy has lost his job and his home.
why did he loose his job??
It’s the boy’s name. The one that was hit by the car.
Why post this picture with Yoshka?
Someone was sleeping on the job!
That’s very kind of the Inzelbuchs to go out of their way like that, to offer a 3600 dollar reward from their personal funds to help mitigate the pain for the family of Jesus Lopez by tracking down the suspect in the hit and run accident that killed him. And very brave of Tommy and his wife to come forward publicly, not to remain anonymous. It sends a message to reckless drivers that people out there do care about these violent acts, and that they will be brought to trial, and face consequences. Hopefully, everyone will be a little more careful out there as a result of this outcome. The more awareness the better. A very sad situation for the family of Jesus Lopez, my heart goes out to them.
I would love to help create a go fund me page. Please contact me via email with contact info on who I should speak to regarding the transfer of funds and permission from the family. Thank you gd bless. Shabbat Shalom
