  1. Anyone know if i can buy a generator to connect my 2 full freezers full of food in my garage so the food doesn’t spoil . It woukd b great if people with electricity can offer freezer space for people like me without power.

  2. My power was restored last night at about 9:30 only to be shut off at 12:45. Had I known it would be shut off again I would’ve filled my bathtubs with water. This negligence is unacceptable! It’s 9:30 AM and I’m still without power.

  3. Very true, lots of food spoiling. Someone just offered me freezer space, amazing people.
I would love to get updates, better communication from JCPL as to what’s going on

  4. demand change. This is unacceptable. I would understand if this only happened because of the storm but it happens every time it rains!

  5. Everyone must call JCPL to report your outage. They are saying that areas in Jackson do not have outages reported so they will not rush to fix. Please call 888-544-4877

  6. HEY
DID YOU THANK HA-SHEM FOR THE MILLIONS OF MINUTES THAT YOU DID HAVE POWER IN YOUR LIFE
OR THE TRILLIONS AND TRILLIONS OF SECONDS THAT YOU HAD POWER
    THANK HASHEM
THATS PART OF THE LESSON OF A BLACKOUT

    • It’s the year 2020. Get it? As in 20/20 vision.
Isn’t it clear to everyone what’s going on?
Corona,Hurricanes….Bt”w, do you know what “Isaias” means? I do, it means “G-d is my salvation”.
The goyim pronounce it Isaiah, a prophet from the “old testament”.
      Sound familiar? …The galus…The geulah …..
The Abishter couldn’t stand to see his children fighting, anymore. He’d rather have His house burn down!
On Tisha B’av morning, 2 yidden yell at me. Why? Because they were going to be late for davening!
      Ribono Shel Olam!

    • @TrueYid IF we taka ever had a trillion seconds of anything the world would be 31,709.9 years old.I’m going to be dan lekaf zchus that you’re not an apikores and you’re just stam uneducated, kol tuv.

  7. TLS should be working with JCP&L to get accurate time estimates for restoration of power, neighborhood by neighborhood. TLS should be publishing this information. The JCP&L website is providing very little in the way of specifics for most locations. This is the main thing everyone in Lakewood wants to know, and TLS should be stepping up to the plate and providing it.

  8. over 80% of customers lost power in lakewood/jackson/toms river jcp&l covers alot more than this area and over 50% of their total customers in NJ lost power give them a break

  9. I don’t live in Lakewood but guess what, were also still waiting for power to be turned on, along with many others in this country. Drive around – there are trees down everywhere. Sit back, take a deep breath and relax. And stop complaining about every little thing that does not go your way.

  10. Spoke to someone at JCPL, said by 3:00 will be restored ( Raintree)
But there has not been one sighting of any trucks.
If not restored by 3 as promised, many very unhappy campers…..

  11. Hey, just a minute. There’s something we don’t like going on. Maybe we should riot and loot and burn down property of people in no way connected to the problem’s cause!
But seriously folks, give them a break. There’s a lot of work involved in restoring power, it’s not just flipping a switch. So cynical that politicians are calling for investigations! First they threw the cops to the mobs, now they’re throwing the utilities.

  12. Please heed Esty’s comment above: if you have not yet called JCPL on their automated hotlibe to report the outage please do so ASAP!! 1-888- LIGHTSS. If you look at their online map it shows certain areas having only 20-100 customers affected when in fact there are hundreds! The more impacted an area is the more it may get their priority attention.

  13. @Daniel
It’s called Communication. We understand that it takes time, but to only tell us for 24 hours that awaiting dispatch for investigation! My, chances are that it is only a flipped transmitter, that takes a crew under 10 minutes to reset. That what it usually is in our neighborhood. So please, if they want to have happy customers, at least investigate quickly, and give a time frame. Communication!

  14. Eli,

Just that you should know and keep your hopes up, most of the time that the power goes out, it is not restored by repairing anything near your house. Alot of times it is a substation or a transformer that may not be anywhere near your house. My power just went on at 2PM and I had to sleep in 80 degree weather last night so I know exactly how you feel. Hopefully it will go back on before you hit the sack tonight.

  15. Hey! Instead of focusing on the negative, lets focus on the good. Hatzolah, Chaveirim, Lcsw, and others have been working around the clock helping those in need! Shout out to all the selfless individuals for their great chesed

  16. Did you take note that whenever you see a yeshiva man, he is always in haste. He is either running to Seder or to daven or to another Dvar Mitzvah.

Have you ever seen a utility worker in a rush? i never did.

  17. For all those sticking up for JCP&L I heard from builders who deal with them very often that they are slow in showing up and getting things done and always come up with different excuses why they didn’t get the job done. when there are no storms! (BH I am lucky I didn’t lose power so Im not coming from that angle)

  18. Maby it’s time to buy a generator and stop blaming the utility companies for not giving time frames do you work 24 a day 2000 men and women are from other states here to help everyone be patient it will be back soon and you all will be ok when generators go on sale buy one!!!!!!

  19. Stop bashing JCPL They are overwhelmed with downed trees and snapped poles. This will happen every storm until all electrical services are underground like in NYC Every home should at least have a portable backup generatior these days. Other crews are on there way from FLA after repairing everything there, the whole east coast was hit all crews are busy in there own areas. Electric service is repairable some have lost there life or loved ones, also don’t drive around I saw a bad accident yesterday due to traffic lights being out and drivers being confused and cops being spread out. How is anyone thinking defund the police? Next will be looting and fighting over supplies!CHILL OUT HELP YOUR NIEGHBORS!
