The following is an ‘Ask The Mayor’ question submitted to TLS, and the Mayor’s response. Email your questions for the Mayor to [email protected].
Question:
Regarding local agencies in township,
Why can’t the passport renewal / vital statistics office be opened by appointments scheduled with safety measures instead of being closed so no one can renew locally?
Response from Mayor Coles:
Good morning,
Passport renewals are not handled by the township. You would need to check with the Post Office or the County to have them renewed. I’m not sure if the County Connection Office in the Ocean County Mall is open, but that is where my family has gone to have our Passports renewed in the past.
Thanks.

Ocean County connection is open. Either way passport renewals can be done completely by mail.
The county connection in Ocean County mall is open during regular mall hours. You might need to make an appointment and fill out some of the application online first. Check out their website for more info by going to http://www.co.ocean.nj.us/CountyConnectionPage.aspx
