  1. Taking someone’s temp. is no proof of being positive for Covid19. First of all if someone really has fever he wouldn’t be feeling well enough to go to school and should stay home any way. Second of all many people who had Corona never had fever and were basically symptomless.

  2. I hope every school does this. It sends the perfect message.
Of course it’s not fool proof but a basic and necessary step.
And no not always does the parent (want to) pick up on a low grade fever.

  3. Besides for Covid 19 the benefit is great. There may be children with strep or other infections that this could stop the spread. This idea is long over due. In the airport in Hong Kong they’ve been doing this for years as well as at trade shows in China.. The list goes on. The school’s have nursing budgets that should allow them to purchase such things.
Think of a busy working mom that even if the kid is not feeling great she drops off her child so as not to miss work. This way that child will be sent home and the other children and their mother’s will be spared.
