  1. If your feeling fine then dont get tested. We are never gonna get over this thing if this continues.
All this pre Rosh Hashana testing and school testing is part of the reason for the current “uptick”. Its mostly asymptomatic, which basically is nothing.

    • In the spirit of Rosh Hashana, I’m going to assume you’re simply misinformed instead of lying.

There are MANY people sick in Lakewood with symptoms. I know quite a few of them myself.

  2. And what happens if someone gets it tonight, tomorrow or the first day of Yom tov? They are not being told to quarantine and not spend time with other people. How will they know that at a later point they became positive?

  3. I know someone who is 6 months post corona. tested positive, and then negative 3 times after that at 2 day intervals. So the test does not give enough info for those who are being careful, too much for those who are past it.

  4. That is ridiculous and won’t help! someone can get exposed tomorrow and it can take as little as 2 days to catch it and become contagious which brings you to the second day of rosh hashana. They’d be better off asking anyone without anti bodies to wear a mask and distance as uncomfortable as it is it’s really the only way to minimize the spread

  5. I applaud Rabbi R for doing what would be call a normal precaution.
Of those questioning perhaps one can contrast it within the time span of testing and Rosh Hashana. Have you a better to offer ?
The comment about not testing due to being asymptotic.
That word mean the person is luckily not exhibiting symptoms but is still infected and by extension can infect others.

To those who Want to make sure the shuls are full Rosh Hashana, you are making sure the shuls will be empty Yom Kippur.

    It is reality.
