1. How about getting rid of the Coke and other Coke products, like Sprite. BIG donator and supporter of Antifa.

   • I doubt these products support Antifa; maybe they support BLM & other such organizations as it make for “good” politically correct (but morally corrupt) publicity.

2. I would have expected better of The Lakewood Scoop. The title should read: Wow! Incredible mesirus nefesh in these trying times to protect the health of our elderly!!

3. That’s why the spread in Lakewood and elsewhere is mostly among the young and not the elderly. Still could be deadly if someone is careless even once.
   Also many of the young, even those not symptomatic, will in the not very long term have major side effects. I personally have such a family member who didn’t even realize he had until he tested positive for anti-bodies and now has a major health issue.

   • I, my entire family, (including my not so young parents) most of my extended family and many ppl I know had Corona with no long term effects.
     I don’t doubt if you search hard enough, you will find many people who have had long term effects from any illness or even tripping on their crack free sidewalk. Yet you do not live in mortal fear your whole life afraid to go out because you might trip on the sidewalk and get a bleed on the brain.
     Right now, your chances of dying of Covid are infinity less than dying of any cause combined. This means you have a better chance of dying today from either getting hit by a car, lightning, a falling tree, a heart attack, cancer or any other cause. – Yea I know Covid has a higher fatality rate than car accidents- I’m talking all causes combined. So calm down, have some bitachon and enjoy life.

     • Young people are anxious but recover. Older people are calm but are at risk. In fact, it’s literally 75x as dangerous for 75+ year olds vs 18-45 year olds.

6. #4 – I would be 1st to bash him but I think his intentions are good. That said, Yes-Corona is mostly politics. This looks like a zoo exhibit, and I disagree with it. If he was concerned, this zaide would have been safe with a mask and social distancing alone (not everyone-just the high risk, most of us will be fine). The cage is sensationalism. Again, I am sure he meant well and wish him much mazal on the Simcha.

   • A surgical mask together with a face shield works. But not while eating. And social distancing does not work indoors. The AC blows stuff around.

7. People really do not get it. I am a senior citizen whose has lost many friends to COV-ID. Others have long term effects that I am not sure will go away. Although the people who are getting it now are suffering less and hopefully will be okay, this is a real thing!!! We are seeing many people infected. In many places outside of Lakewood they actually take this seriously. People outside are stumped by our carefree attitude. I hope H-shem has pity on us; although we are denying something that is a real problem. I am not saying we should lock ourselves up; however, a normal amount of caution would be appropriate.

   We should all have a year of Gezunt and Bracha!
