  1. BH. What was missed in this message is to reinforce from the Aguda the critical need for people to adhere to the mask and social distancing requirements. It seems to be helping and so should have been reinforced!

  2. masks help only for coughing and sneezing. Viruses could get through masks. What helps is prevention and treatment options which abound. quercetn + zinc + vitamin c + vitamin d, etc. If everyone would do this, we wouldnt need masks unless someone is very high risk and even then he cant rely on the mask

    • Why do you think that mask-wearing is smart? Because everyone is doing it? you know that the CDC originally did not recommend their use, and it is questionable whether they help at all.

  3. What about schools following the safety protocols set by the state that schools are obligated to keep. If schools don’t implement their so called “plans” that were submitted to the state, there could Chas Veshalom be more spead of the virus and also Chillul Hashem.

  4. Masks do help especially when everyone is wearing and wearing them properly not just on your mouth. Doctors and nurses have been using them forever. It’s the lack of care which is concerning how many people have to get sick or die for others to care and our schools should have to follow guidelines just like everyone else does. Just think by wearing a mask you might save someone’s life and if it’s to difficult then don’t go out. And let’s try to make a kiddush hashem just like you wouldn’t dare walk into a store like Walmart or Target without a mask don’t walk into the frum stores without one show that you care about others even if you don’t care about yourself.

    • The fact that drs. and nurses wear them is not necessarily a sign they prevent viruses. Doctors wear them in the operating rooms in order to prevent saliva from getting into an open wound. The proof is in the pudding, as in many countries, the nurses in the operating room do not wear them.
Dentists may wear them simply so they are not breathing in the patients face and vice versa, but they don’t prevent viruses.
The CDC never suggested that people wear these masks during a flu season.
This information is coming from big experts.

      • I’m so sorry I’m sure you have good intentions but this is incorrect studies show that masks do help. They may not be 100% effective but they are quite effective! There was a salon that opened up right after the COVID-19 shut down. The hairdressers themselves wore masks. He saw almost 200 clients. And then found out that they had been positive all along. Not one person caught the Covid from them. This is just one example which is proof that masks definitely do help! For sure helps when they are worn properly 🙂

    • although it isn’t right, it’s very different walking into a ‘non-jewish’ store that has a guard at the door reminding you to get your mask. whereas the jewish stores used to make us wear masks and gloves (- remember those) but then stopped. therefore when walking into those establishments it’s easier to forget.

  5. TY for any effort, but on the political level, what would be the raeosn not to open schools; the SCAMDEMIC, PLANDEMIC?!?!
This is a man-made virus, produced to shut down society, in order to claim that opening it up can only be with a new vaccine. It’s so Bill Gates, the largest funder of the WHO and a heavy investor in big Pharma and Big Junk Food (both great friends).
With regards to asymptomatic carriers of Covid (people who have been found to be positive through a test, but have no symptoms), it has been demonstrated that they are not contagious, as people around them do not get it. This is just one small point in the forward to the book Undercover Epicenter Nurse about the KILLINGS done FOR MONEY at Elmhurst Hospital in Queens NY, the epicenter of the epicenter.

p.s. The CDC just admitted recently that only 6% of Covid deaths were directly from Covid, The other 94% had an average of 2.6 other comorbidites (serious health issues).

And the WHO just recently admitted that masks don’t help for the virus (it goes straight through ANY mask), but can help reopen the economy, as local tailors can make them. But who shut downs the economy, and why was Walmart open the entire time during?! Can it be because Bill Gates has heavy investments with them?! (And he has $100B…)

    • I hear there is a sale on tinfoil hats. You can get them for cheap, with a KAGA symbol on them for a few dollars extra.

The world famous crusader against vaccines, also has a book about covid19. How enlightening! We will certainly have to take her as seriously as the bogus Big antvax industry’s claims about autism and other such nonsense.

      • I have the debunking for those who need it. zdoggmd dot com has interviews with other nurses and actual professionals who work at Elmhurst Hospital in Queens. Search for the Elmhurst hospital page on that site.

That ‘nurse’ is an absolute disgrace and her lies should show all of us what is the true agenda of the covid deniers. Sad that the עם חכם ונבון is falling for that kind of tripe.

  6. According the CDC, ages 0-19 have a 99.997% survival rate if they contract covid; 20-49 99.98% survival rate; 50-69 99.5% survival rate, 70 and older 94.6%.

If you are seeing a high number of deaths in Lakewood, perhaps there is something wrong with the hospital care. Shlomo Rechnitz recently said in an interview in AMI magazine that the hospitals in Lakewood are not up to par. He also said that the PCR test can show a positive result if a person has leftover virus in them from a past covid infection.

    • Well, if he said so, it must be so. He has a lot of money, so everything he says must be fully accurate.
And Ami magazine have expert fact checkers and researchers to back every single claim of theirs, especially health claims.

Raboisai, we need serious critical thinking rehab.

      • I think you missed the point. The reason Shlomo Rechnitz is being quited is not because of his bank account, rather it is because of his experience in the healthcare industry. Take the time to read the interview.

  7. Forcing children to sit in school all day with a mask is punishing. Maybe we should be shortening the school day for now in order to make it reasonable

  8. @Mark
Speak for yourself. In my shul as well as the others which I attend masks are worn. Though a few people got sick nevertheless, masks are not 100% effective.

  9. Many of you guys are conflating two issues. The adults vs kids . We know adults congregating spread it . Weddings and shuls are spreaders . Today it’s raining but on a normal day like the many we had Sukkos what’s so bad to Daven outdoors and spread out ? Still same rav and style . Is it such an inconvienance?

On the other hand schools , are not large spreaders . Furthermore schools are essential. Kids need aka must have school . There is no alternative for them . This is even more true for us Lakewood yidden that don’t believe children should be on zoom .

  10. I always felt strongly that masks help. However, after seeing that the positive rates in Israel kept on soaring despite the fact that they were super strict about masks, I admit that I am really skeptical now.

    • Strict about masks doesn’t mean that people kept it. In the streets they wore masks, but how about in Shuls, Yeshivos and Simchos? Were people actually wearing them? We know of one large chassidus that refused to wear them indoors, and their Rebbe made fun of anyone who wore one. Even though it was hardly reported in the news.

  11. Dovid
Yes we’re smarter than everyone else. We are called the עם חכם ונבון because of the חכמת התורה we have. The more we follow the Torah the more we can see through all the fog in this pandemic. The more we follow science the dumber we are and the more we get caught in all the fog. So if you watched the video you’ll notice how he said that they were in constant contact with the rosh yeshivahs and rabbonim. That’s in direct contrast to other communities that are in constant contact with the doctors.

  12. Asymptomatic people do spread the virus. We tested our family because we were supposed to go away for Rosh Hashana and my eleven year old tested positive so we went into quarantine and we all got covid from him. He felt perfect the whole time. Our family was extremely careful .I drove him to school because my husband was davening outside with him. His only exposure was school and the bus on the way home from school and our only exposure was to him. It can be spread through asymptomatic children.

  13. @SARAH the fact that you all got covid does not prove asymptomatic people spread the virus. Whoever your son caught it from, you could also have caught it from, or you could have gotten it from someone else entirely. Your statement absolutely cannot be proven one way or the other.

  14. We know VERY clearly where we got it from, we have not been exposed anywhere else. We have not been in a grocery store or shuls since April. Any contact whatsoever at work has been with a mask. We know he got it in school and we know we got it from him and yes we all got sick. You believe whatever you want but stop spewing this LIE. If people do care then go ahead and get sick. BUT YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO GET OTHER PEOPLE SICK AND SPREAD LIES.

  15. It doesn’t matter where you got the virus from because its very contagious and everyone could get it even with precautions. Therefore we need to spread prevention and treatment info — theres a lot out there now. Theres also a gemach in lakewood for treatments. Turning on each other is counter productive

  16. PCR tests are inaccurate and show false positives for people with dead virus.THe new york times of all newpapers wrote about this a month ago and I know this from first hand anecdotes. I wish I was wrong but if you listen to the mayor (who obviously has his own agenda) and continue testing everyone you will be shut down very soon. I am not famouns and wealthy and you don’t have to beiieve me but you should look into whether this is true or not . I know rabbanim who have said NOT TO TEST

  17. @SARAH you may think you know but the fact remains that you have no proof one way or the other. People in masks also get the virus-just look at what’s going on in Israel- and although “we have not been in a grocery store or shuls since April” it does not prove that you didn’t get the virus from someone else. Less likely, perhaps, but certainly not a proof.
