Daylight Saving Time Ends This Sunday

We “Fall Back” and move the clock back and hour at 2:00 a.m. this Sunday.

Fire departments across the Nation also take this opportunity to remind homeowners to check the batteries in their smoke alarms.

  1. Mornings will be Safer; However early evenings will become extremely dangerous:
Drivers should put down their cell phones, slow down and watch for pedestrians.
Children or other Pedestrians whom come off of buses or walk home should be very careful and not assume that drivers of passing vehicles see them.
    Dangerous night drivers:
Fatigued & drowsy after a difficult day.
Adults with developing cataracts have reduced night vision by as much a 85% .
Eyeglasses wearers with deteriorated High Index or Polycarbonate Lenses have night vision as poor as an 80 year old .
Older vehicles with old yellowed opaque headlights etc.
Those conditions slowly develop of which drivers are slow to realize.

  2. Mutty – very good advice.
There is also health problems associated with even a small time change of 1 hour. Many states want these time changes to stop. Personally, it should be DST all year long.
