[COMMUNICATED]
Multitasker. Educator. Hero. Nurse. Organizer. Listener. Child Advocate.
Educators and mothers in our town share many titles. Of them all, the most proudly carried title is the one that tells of how they ensure the daily needs of their charges are being met.
Indeed, as the school year picks up momentum, children struggle to meet daily demands in the classroom and at home due to speech and language related deficits. These weaknesses are hard for the untrained eye to detect.
“Many of our clients are treated by professionals for various challenges”, says Leah Gross OTR/L director and founder of The Therapy Place, “if a language deficit is going undetected, the child is struggling in many areas of daily function unnecessarily.”
Pinpointing an underlying weakness, is key to removing the barrier to achievement.
Mrs. Alana Obuhovs Ms. SLP-CCC brings 18 years of clinical experience to her clients at The Therapy Place where she supervises the speech and language department.
This Sunday night she will share her knowledge and insight on how to evaluate the need for speech and language intervention in children.
In support of the children whose potential is waiting to be actualized, come listen, learn and ask so that more children can find help and find hope.
The workshop will be followed by a Q&A session when you can learn problem-specific information.
