A recent sign has been circulating like wildfire around social media warning people against taking the COVID-19 vaccine and claiming to be endorsed by numerous rabbanim. But there’s one major problem: at least one supposed endorsement – that of HaRav Shmuel Kamenetzky – is a forgery.
In a letter written by Rav Shmuel and released by the Yeshiva of Philadelphia, the gadol hador explicitly states that he never signed on to any such anti-vaccination effort, and that everyone should consult with their own doctor as to whether they should receive the vaccine.

Anti-vaxxing is a new religion. It doesn’t include Midvar Sheker Tirchak and many other Torah laws.
I am also not anti-vax and all my kids are up to date but it’s hard to understand how this vaccine could be okay to take halachically considered how it was rushed through trials and there are many doctors coming out with serious warnings against it. All the years people tried to make coronavirus vaccines unsuccessfully because animals died in trial so it never made it to the humans. Today, the people who get the vaccine will b the guinea pigs R”L

The reason this was rushed is because we have a global crisis going on and governments prepaid for millions of doses before safety and efficacy data were available. That is usually not done. Governments put this money at risk due to the urgency of the situation. The risk has paid off. The vaccines are effective and safe. The safety data is a matter of public record. We are not just taking someone’s word for it.
We are not being anyone’s Guinea Pig. The vaccine has ALREADY been given to 10’s of thousands of heroic volunteers.
Get on board. Get inoculated. And stop being part of the problem

I feel some posters should pay attention, that Rav Shmuel did not just say he didn’t sign anything. He also said to consult your Doctor. That means not to have a personal opinion either way, rather to consult an actual expert. Whether you want the vaccine or you think it is risky, he said consult your Doctor, not any other opinions.
Unfortunately we can no longer believe anything heard in the name of a gadol without hearing it directly, or at least confirming with a very reputable source.

They did not Forge any Signatures or even put the names of Anyone on the bottom of the letter..they wrote 4 Gedolim are against this Vaccine they listed Rav Shmuel Kamenetzky as one of those 4 and than on the bottom of the letter wrote in the name of “Kehilath Chareidis” no name or signature
