BREAKING: Authorities investigating driver’s claims she was shot at, causing her to crash; Lakewood Public Schools on lockdown [PHOTOS]

Authorities are investigating after a woman crashed into a pole in Lakewood claiming it was out of panic from hearing gunshots fired towards her vehicle.

The incident happened shortly after 3 PM.

The driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Lakewood‘s detective bureau, CSI and K9 are investigating the incident.

Lakewood School District Attorney Michael Inzelbuch tells TLS multiple public schools in the area are on lockdown due to the possible shooting.
