BREAKING: Two Cases Of New Coronavirus Strain Identified In New Jersey, One In Ocean County

New Jersey’s top health official, Judy Persichilli, announced Friday that the Health Department has identified at least two individuals who have been infected with a new strain of COVID-19 originally seen in the United Kingdom, with one of the cases being an unidentified man in Ocean County.

Scientists believe the new strain is up to 70% more contagious than the original strain, which leads public health officials to worry that hospitalizations will increase substantially.

Despite the new strain being a mutation in the genetic code of the virus, scientists do not think that it poses a more significant risk to people’s health than the original strain and that the Covid vaccines currently available will inoculate against this new strain as well.

  1. i have been calling chemed bikur cholim my care etc and am being told to wait patiently and well now they apparently have some real patients in this county to deal with they would be smart to arrange school visits and public drive thru centers so that people can understand where to go and how to get help releasing statistics is not the solution action on the ground and coordination with the various communities and neighborhoods that is what separates failure from success
