A driver allegedly fleeing the scene of an accident struck a pedestrian blocks away, sources say.

The driver was reportedly involved in an accident on Route 9, and fled the scene.

Another driver, possibly the victim of the first hit and run, followed the suspect, who then apparently struck a pedestrian at the intersection of Clifton Avenue and 4th Street.

The victim was transported to the hospital by EMS, and the suspect was taken into custody.
