Lakewood Fire Department, State Forest Fire Service battle 7 acre brush fire in Lakewood (VIDEOS & PHOTOS) [UPDATED]

Lakewood and State firefighters are attempting to extinguish a seven acre brush fire in Lakewood.

The fire broke out in the Cross Street area around 2:00 PM. It took firefighters approximately two hours to douse the blaze.

Lakewood’s Detective Bureau, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s office, and the Fire Marshall’s office are investigating.

  1. 1. Thanks to the Fire Departments. 2.. Thank G-D for all the development in lakewood of which had reduced forest and brush fires in Lakewood by over 90%; in the 1960’s when most of Lakewood was forested Forest Fires and Brush Fires was terrible here.
