Lakewood Firefighter Romeo Espino Tragically Passes Away

The Lakewood Fire Department announced today the untimely passing of its longtime and active member Romeo Espino. 

Espino served on the Lakewood Fire Department since 2012 and held the rank of Fire Police Captain. In a statement, the Lakewood Fire Department said Espino was “a dedicated member who was always active and supportive of our company.” The statement also mentions Espino’s dedication to “ensuring the safety of the Lakewood community.”

“Rest in peace Romeo, we will take it from here brother,” the statement concludes.

  1. Romeo was a kind and gentle soul who displayed sincere dedication and devotion to his Company and the Department. He always had friendly word and a smile for everyone. Unfortunately Romeo lost his short battle with Covid-19. He will be missed. R.I.P.
